Palm and Eagle Beach Among TripAdvisor Top Ten Beaches Worldwide

Tripadvisor’s Traveler’s Choice 2011 ranked Aruba’s Palm and Eagle Beach together as the third best beaches worldwide.

Eagle Beach is described as “an idyllic Caribbean beach, with white sands and turquoise waters, and is frequented by water sports enthusiasts.”

Palm Beach(pictured here) is described as offering “perfect swimming conditions and powdery sand.”

Personally, my favorite is Druif beach, since it’s where my timeshare is located, though I admit that after twenty odd years I’m still not sure how to pronounce “Druif.”  I especially like the bunker bar. The beach never seems to get too crowded, since it’s nowhere near the big hotels. Watch the rocks, though.  Also, the beach is very narrow by Aruba standards.

There’s no doubt that Palm Beach is beautiful, and it’s location in the “high-rise” area means there’s a lot more to see and do.

Eagle Beach is a nice wide beach with great sand and few rocks. This is where we usually rent our jet skis.
